Aussois is the ideal starting point for hiking trails, mountain biking (the French ATV Team has stayed at Fleurs et Neige during some of its trainings) and via ferrata with some very inspiring names like the Ascent into the Sky (la Montée au ciel), the Angels Crossing ] (la traversée des Anges), Descent into Hell (la descente aux enfers), the Path of the Virgin and The Goblins (le chemin de la vierge et les diablotins). It is also the site of the Devil’s Bridge and one of the largest tyroleans in Europe.

You can go on unusual walks with one of our guides and take part in treasure trails.

Whether you are a novice or an amateur, a path in our valley is waiting for you to explore. Thrill seekers, try our climbing or adventure courses and our aviation sports.

The Orgère valley + the village of Bonneval sur Arc (classified in 3rd place amongst the most beautiful villages of France): The Pleureuse de Termignon statue; the Arche d’Oé museum; the Opinel museum; the Chemins du Baroque.

Summer, like winter

Nordic skiing

Facing full south but nevertheless with good snow, the Monolith listed area will seduce you. Admire the 93-metre Cargneule needle. All levels of ski runs pass through clearings and forests, starting right from the village.

A snowshoe track from “La Croix” heading out of the village towards Sardières. A peaceful outing with a gentle climb through the forest suitable for everyone.

Aussois Sardières

The Nordic ski domain of Aussois / Sardières has over 35 km of designated trails (2 circuits heading towards the Forts of Esseillon and 5 circuits across the plateau of Sardières and the Monolith). The total of the paths in Haute-Maurienne is 161 km.

A large number of rambling paths, to suit all levels, depart from Fleurs et Neige and which reach numerous summits above 3,000 metres.

The Sentier des Bâtisseurs (The Builders Path)

Wander around the fort of Esseillon in the footsteps of the patrol soldier; a majestic barrier built by the kingdom of Piedmont Sardinia at the beginning of the 19th century, to guard against French invasion.

11 major Alpine passes, most of which have figured in the Tour de France, are accessible from Fleurs et Neige. (Fleurs et Neige has a place for bikes.)

All year long

Throughout the year you can visit cultural sites such as the Lozes Archaeological Park, the Forts of Esseillon etc … historic sites (castles, churches …), the Alu museum, the Avrieux wind tunnel, Fort Saint Gobain, the Hurtier iron mine.
